Budget woes?? This would be a great time to share the impact of various budget decisions that may be affecting you. Any creative solutions?

IV. Ed Tech Website of the Month:
(1) Not a District technology site, but a great resource for you and your teachers for Web 2.0 tools and conversations about their use in the classroom: Classroom 2.0 LIVE shows (LIVE participation on Saturdays from 10:00-11:00am; everything archived for viewing at our convenience) http://live.classroom20.com I'll give you a quick overview of the site and resources available. This is the show I am co-hosting on Elluminate with Kim Caise (TX), Lorna Costantini (Canada) and Steve Hargadon (CA). All of the show's archived recordings and links are available here: http://live.classroom20.com/archive.html (Peggy)
(2) Incredible school visit to Sahuarita Intermediate School where I got to see true technology integration with students in action! Jackie Gerstein is the teacher and this is a link to her students' wiki. If you have problems viewing this PhotoPeach video at school (blocked) you can access it here from home. http://photopeach.com/album/l36t73?invitecode=bcd7e26cf9
NOTE: There is background music on this slide show but you can turn it off if you prefer to watch without the sound.

Shawn is doing an awesome job of facilitating things with Peoria District:
Per Shawn: Kevin Molino, our network director, sat down this morning to talk about WOW. We have AVR supplying the projectors. Kevin said he would provide WiFi access in the Cafeteria and in the Library for the conference as well as un-filtered access to the internet for that day. He will also look into the possibility of having limited WiFi access in the courtyard area. Also, once he finalizes the WiFi information, he said he would give me the SSID and user name for the day of the conference so it can be published in the program.

We have 46 sessions confirmed (and at least 3 more Vendor that we must take in the works). There are 2 that will be 2 hour workshops and we plan to alert people who have already registered (hopefully this week) that they can "reserve one of the limited spaces" ahead by responding to a Survey Monkey registration that will go out with the Accepted Proposals are Posted" notice. We have (thanks to Bob Campbell) a smoking deal on rooms at the Hampton Inn - but people have to reserve before April 1st - so that's going on the web and other places ASAP (registration at the hotel opens March 5th). We mostly need PARTICIPANTS.

Dr. Howie DiBlasi Presentations Confirmed for WOW:
Friday evening keynote for administrators: Change is Good...You Go First: Empowering the 21st Century Educational Leader
Saturday Morning Keynote: Google Guide: 29 Secrets for Using Google in the Classroom
Saturday Workshop Presentations:
(1) Telling Your Story…Traveling The World With Digital Story Telling (50 min.)
(2) Free Software Tools for the 21st Century Classroom: Create, Communicate, Collaborate (2-hour hands-on workshop)

VIII. Leadership Development: Managing Up 1:00-1:30pm (professional development time for anyone who wants to participate)
Inspiring people to change through story telling. (Laurie King)
Next month we will be doing "Inbox Zero"

IX. Next meeting: Date/Place/Location Confirmation
