I. Welcome / Call meeting to order

a. Review/Approval of minutes:
Minutes were approved by 6 of the 8 people attending. Two abstained due to not attending the previous meeting

b. Westside Workshop Coordinator position still open
c. Meeting Time/Day?
The group unanimously voted on the day and time for Westside leadership meetings. Meetings will be held on the first Monday of the month from 2:00-3:30.

d. Google Form results: (slides)
We received 39 responses. ASSET will send out the survey as well and we will see if we gain additional responses. See slides from the recording to see all of the responses for survey questions and ideas for workshops and days/times.

  • Goal 1: Host events and use Elluminate, Wikispaces and website to share, showcase and explore the integration of technology, curriculum and innovative instructional strategies.
  • Goal 2: Increase participation and communication with membership and stakeholders using current technology tools and advertising the value of being an AzTEA member.
  • Goal 3: Host 9th Annual WOW Conference - 1st Virtual
  • Goal 4: Westside members will commit to offering and/or actively soliciting a monthly Elluminate webinar presentation for professional development.

Sandy's presentation was postponed until next time due to time.

Have new Moodle course created on the AzTEA Moodle site to organize all of the events, activities and pre-planning communication! Just beginning to populate it with content. Huge thanks to Connie Swiderski who hosts a TX conference in Moodle for sharing her conference template. Thanks also to Paula Clough who has agreed to help Peggy create and manage the Moodle site! Be patient while we get it revised with WOW content.
